How to buy a Galentine’s gift for the female best friend you’re definitely not in love with just best friends haha

By  |

Single? Celebrating Galentine’s this year? Got a female best friend who you’re definitely not actually secretly in love with? Here’s how to shop for your BFF (Best Friend For as long as you can keep your feelings under control!).

Think really hard about her!

Before you start trawling Amazon, sit down and think really hard about her and how much she means to you! Think about her pretty eyes and her soft hair and her amazing laugh and how happy you were when she broke up with her piece of shit boyfriend. Don’t skip this step – you need to do this to ensure the present is as amazing as she is!

Remember, you’re just friends!

You two are really close (friends)! That means anything you buy her can be interpreted as a continuation of that and won’t be misconstrued as romantic. Want to write her a sonnet, send her a dozen red roses, buy her some expensive jewellery that represents everything you’ve been through together? Go for it, girl! No-one will suspect a thing – not even you!

Get her something sexy!

There’s nothing wrong with buying your best gal pal a new set of lingerie or a massive vibrator. You’re just trying to empower her sexually (in a friendly/feminist way!) You’re definitely not hoping she’ll be thinking of you when she wears it/uses it and, even if you are, that’s just because you’re so invested in her fully exploring her sexuality!

Don’t be afraid to openly say ‘I love you’!

If you feel like you’ve overstepping a boundary, remember that girls say ‘I love you’ to each other all the time! Women throughout history have had unique and special bonds and ‘love’ is just another way of articulating that deep connection between two girls who want to go for coffee, gossip, and wake up next to each other every morning.

Wow, that was easy! It’s always so much easier to buy for your close female friends than for any boyfriend you’ve ever had, right? Must be girl power! Happy Galentine’s!
