Becky actually happy with lipstick she was bullied into buying at MAC counter

An Edinburgh woman was both surprised and delighted today when she got home and discovered the MAC lipstick she had been bullied into buying actually really suited her.

Initially Becky Acton, 26, had just gone into John Lewis for a browse of their cosmetics.

“I got a bit of Christmas money and had no idea what to spend it on. I was wandering around the MAC counter and, before I knew it, I’d been bundled into a chair and asked if I wanted to pay cash or card.”

“The assistant had managed to contour half of my face before I knew what was happening.”

Becky was naturally prepared to walk away £20 lighter and looking like a first draft of Darth Maul, but was delighted when she looked in the mirror at home and realised it looked nice.

“The bold colour really suited me, I got loads of compliments. This may actually upset the balance of the universe.”

“It wasn’t all bad news though, I did manage to buy three types of bronzer brushes I don’t want or need, so it’s good to know things haven’t gone totally crazy.”
